About Us

The idea was simple: to raise some kids and live off the land!  So in 1977, we packed up our belongings and moved the family to true country, 42 acres in New Gloucester.  We traveled down a dirt road, which had once been a cattle path, into a driveway which led to a large cornfield.  We immediately started our homestead.

Before we knew it, the family we started with there became 8 girls, and the idea of living off the land grew as well.

Over the years, our “gentleman’s farm” has always been a source of food and enjoyment for our 8 daughters and their families.  Besides gardening, we have raised our own beef, pork, chicken & turkeys - how else could you afford to feed all those mouths!   We have over an acre of vegetable and flower gardens, as well as a maturing orchard and a small vineyard.   We have always prided ourselves on doing things naturally and organically on our farm.

We still love working the land as much as when we first started over thirty years ago, and have expanded our growing space on multiple properties in town.  We are glad to be sharing our products and joy with you through our farm stand and other local venues.  Stop by and visit us and see our passion for growing your food.
